Here is a method by which you can see which apps are currently running on your Nokia lumia 920.

A long press on the ‘Back’ button will show you what apps are open on your device, and if you press the ‘Back’ button again you’ll jump back into your last app. Another press will close the last opened app or, if you desire, a bunch of presses will close all of the apps currently running. This can be a real help if your device is beginning to feel a bit sluggish.
