Follow the options below to make htc first a wifi hotspot :
1. Slide the Notifications panel open, and then tap the Gear Icon or Settings.
2. Under Wireless & Network, tap More.
3. Select Mobile network sharing > Portable Wi-Fi hotspot settings.
4. Enter your preferred router name, or you can also use the default name.
5. Choose the type of security and set a password for your wireless router. (If you selected none, then you don't have to enter a password.)
6. Select the Portable Wi-Fi Hotspot option to turn on the wireless router.
